Host is a high visibility role and plays an important role in furthering prasino’s mission within the communities we serve.
The host/hostess is the first person the guest will come in contact with and the last person the guest will see. Persons occupying this role must exude confidence, professionalism, and a genuine sense of hospitality and warmth.

Hosts greet and seat guests. Field guest inquiries. Take reservations and generally offer a positive representation of prasino to the general public.

Functions
Exhibits a sense of teamwork, pride and confidence at all times. Exudes friendliness through a positive disposition and a contagious smile.
Provides a pleasant atmosphere and an appropriate greeting/farewell for all guests entering and leaving the restaurant.
Welcomes and seats guests. Ensures guest comfort.
Answers, returns and takes messages for all incoming phone calls.
Takes reservations, maintaining the reservation database and appropriately booking reservations .
Refers any guest concerns or complaints to management.
Assists Managers with table management to maximize seating.
Exhibits phone etiquette, organizational skills, basic computer knowledge (incl. reservations management system) and food/wine service knowledge.
Provides constructive input to foster process improvement within the restaurant.
Ensure cleanliness of both men and women’s restrooms; maintain adequate levels of product(s). Make sure that all products are functioning correctly and are fully stocked.
Stays informed on all hours of operations and special events.
Proactively obtains information from guests, management and service staff and acts as a central hub of information for entire restaurant.
Maintains and updates guest notes and OpenTable shift notes.
