We offer a supportive learning culture committed to assisting our staff continuously expand their professional knowledge and sharpen their expertise. Server-Assistant is an entry level position with much upward potential.

 

Functions

 

*     Provide exceptional service by ensuring that food and beverage items are correctly delivered to customers

*     Must be able to follow specific verbal and/or written instructions.

*     Completes assigned side-work duties (opening, closing, ongoing)

*     Maintains cleanliness in assigned station and or stations

*     Communicates with kitchen, host and service staff to maintain service efficiency and guest satisfaction

*     Assists with removal of dirty dishes from tables between courses and after guest are finished

*     Assists in preparation of kitchen opening and closing procedures

*     Follows all sanitation procedures in accordance with state regulations

*     Ensures expo station is properly stocked and cleaned; maintains appropriate levels of plates, silverware, trays.

*     Possess outstanding communication skills, and be a liaison between the front and back of the house

*     Be knowledgeable and enthusiastic about the restaurant's menu and products

*     Suggest additional items to customers, as appropriate

*     Ensures quality and proper presentation of food menu items as well as communicates each item to guest upon deliver

*     Maintains and ensures compliance of all policies and procedures

*     Assisting Servers, S.A’s, staff, where ever the help needed during free time.

*     Communicates with guest in a positive, professional and helpful manner at all times.

Qualifications

 

Candidates for this position must posses:

 

*     A solid work ethic and dedication to getting the job done right every time.

*     A motivated self starter capable of taking the initiative to identify and undertake projects during slow periods.

*     The ability to collaborate and contribute to a diverse service team.

*     Superior English Communication Skills (written & verbal)

*     The capacity to handle multiple priorities and tasks while under pressure.

*     Understanding of high volume operations.

*     Strong organizational skills.

 

Physical Demands:

*     Ability to stand for long periods of time (which may include an entire shift)

*     Ability to lift moderate weights and remain on feet for prolonged period of time.

*     Ability to work outdoors in inclement weather when necessary. Ability to carry loaded trays on slippery surfaces.

*     Ability to handle hot plates and equipment.

*     Manual and finger dexterity in plate set up and presentation.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Education/Training

*     Previous food and beverage experience preferred.

*     High School diploma or GED.

 

 

Hospitality is a 24/7 industry therefore, candidates should be able to work weekends and holidays as needed.
